The Bookman accepts used book donations and then makes subsequent free book donations to deserving individuals and groups, both domestically and internationally. <br> As the largest organization of its kind, The Bookman distributes more than 500,000 used books free each year around the world.

The Natalie Pearlman Scholarship was created in September 2008 in memory of Natalie Pearlman, beloved wife of our volunteer, Lenny the Elf. She fell victim to cancer much too soon.

In her memory, The Bookman has created a scholarship of $1,000 to be given annually to a deserving medical student who intends to specialize in oncology.
